Commitment to the Community

At The Nicholas Law Firm, our commitment to community is more than a principle - it’s a way of life.

From a young age, Attorney Nicholas was taught the value of service. Influenced by his family, he began giving back early, earning the prestigious Marinko Award as a high school senior athlete. This honor is awarded to a student who best exemplifies the ideals of athleticism, courage, integrity, leadership, scholarship, service, and versatility. As a Life Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, he demonstrated those same values in his dedication to Northwest Connecticut.

That spirit of service continues through his family. In 2011, his daughter Jackie - a Princeton graduate - became the first repeat recipient of the Berkshire League Marinko Award, marking a proud legacy of giving back.

Here at NLF, we believe that with success comes responsibility. We are proud to serve the Torrington and Waterbury communities - places where families grow, businesses thrive, and neighbors support one another. That’s why we make it a priority to give back to the communities that have supported us.

Since our founding, The Nicholas Law Firm has adopted earth-friendly practices and continues to pursue green policies in our offices today. We've sponsored blood drives for the Red Cross, and Attorney Nicholas is approaching his ninth gallon of personal blood donations.

We are proud to be more than a law firm - we are part of the community.
